ATRONIC and ecash sign global distribution agreement

- GRAZ, Austria and NSW, Australia (October 30, 2009) - ATRONIC, the worldwide leader in Cashless solutions for the casino industry, and ecash, the innovative cash handling and payment solutions provider, have entered into an significant distribution agreement to deliver an innovative Cash Redemption Terminal (CRT) for the European, Latin American and South African gaming markets.
ATRONIC´s System Division and ecash are cooperating to deliver an innovative CRT which is compatible with ATRONIC´s qpon cash™ system and other major ticketing systems. The CRT will also be made compatible with ATRONIC’s chip cash™ smart card solution in the near future.
The ATRONIC ecash terminal is a fully automated ticket redemption solution incorporating the unique industry-first feature of accepting bar-coded tickets in all 4 orientations. At the same time it is also a note breaker, and can break large notes into smaller notes, and notes into coins. User-friendly note-breaking operation via large color touch screen satisfies players by minimizing queuing times, and enhancing players’ experience.
ATRONIC´s ecash terminal is offered with Remote Monitoring Software (RMS) that allows casino management to monitor the CRT performance and cash levels live on the casino floor. Delivering maximum security and flexibility, the system can automatically alert casino service staff in the event that a warning status appears on the RMS, therefore reducing CRT downtime and minimizing labor input.
The strong cooperation between ecash, a manufacturing leader in cash handling and payment solutions and ATRONIC, a leading Cashless solutions supplier, featuring both smart card and ticketing technology, will produce a world-class solution for the gaming industry in terms of reliability, performance and system compatibility.
